AXO in Thailand
AXO’s expansion continues with the purchase of land and a new 1,400m2 building in Pinthong Industrial Park (PIP). PIP is in a strategic location on the main highway from Bangkok’s new International airport and the freight link to Leam Chebang port. AXO’s factory is 7km from Thailand’s largest deep see port which has daily links to all major Asian and European destinations.
Greg Corrigan, President of AXO says, “The building, formerly owned by Japan’s Nakagawa Special Steel has been well built only 3 years ago, and already has provision for gantry cranes which we plan to install in the coming months. Purchasing this existing building will assist us achieve our production goals here in Thailand sooner”.
Pinthong is an IEAT (Industrial Estates Authority of Thailand) sanctioned estate, the Authority is active in fields of environmental issues, workplace safety, land use, insurance, import and export management and promotion, and factory-related infrastructure development such as water supply, electricity distribution, telephony, shopping, housing and roads. For AXO it means better working environment for employees in and around the estate and better planned growth of surrounding infrastructure compared to a non IEAT industrial site.
