AXO WORKMATE SHREDDERS ARE DESIGNED WITH SIMPLICITY AND EASE OF SERVICE IN MIND
Despite the simplicity there are many features which set the AXO WorkMate design apart from manufacturers of more traditional shredders.
THROUGHPUT
Our WorkMate shredders cutter sequence, chamber, shaft and knife geometry has been extensively tested and analysed to make the design as efficient as possible.
EASE OF SERVICE
AXO equipment has access features, ease and speed of service in mind. We have focused on simplicity - we recognize that the people usually servicing the machines are Operators not Maintenance Engineers.
CE COMPLIANT
All AXO equipment meets OSH requirements and is CE certified.
MAINTENANCE
Some companies may accept a broken shaft - not AXO - our shafts are replaced only if worn, at a time suitable to the customer and programmed into production. There are no sudden surprises!
SHAFT DESIGN
The AXO one-piece cutter-shaft eliminates the need for lock nuts. These are commonly used to keep the cutter stack tight on older shredders, and require constant monitoring.
AXO's one-piece cutter is a far more robust design than the shafts of hexagonal stacked shaft machines. With AXO's design we've addressed shaft failures and the costs of new parts, lost production and business disruption.
AXO SMOOTH-SHRED
ALL AXO Electric Shredders include "AXO Smooth-Shred" soft starter and current management technology.
SmoothShred was developed specifically for AXO to lessen shock loads incurred when bringing electric shredders on-line, and to reduce the incidence of shaft reversal.
This technology has great benefit for the life and throughput of the shredder and reduces pressure on your power supply.
MORE TORQUE
Using planetary gearboxes driving each shaft we transmit more torque per shaft than other designs.
This also saves weight, gives you more throughput and eliminates shaft failure caused by intermeshed shafts.
