AXO WM608 - 38 Shredder

Partnering with ECS, AXO supplied two WM608-38 Electric Shredders to be included in a product destruction plant in the UK. By using the WM608 shredder with 38mm wide cutters the plant could sustain high throughput & achieve power savings.

The scope of supply for ECS was to provide a system of product destruction and material handling for a leading book distributor within the UK who processes more than 6 million returned books per year from their customers

ECS manufactured a bespoke heavy duty conveyor with a feed hopper suitable for the use with the on site tipper skips. The conveyor controls are integrated in to the system to provide consistent feed to the shredder which sits above the automatic baling press. The baler then produces dense bales of shredded paper for onward transportation to a paper mill.
