AXO 7.5 Ton Metro Enters Service in Ireland

Irish Security Shredding Ltd has taken possession of an AXO WM408 "Metro" mobile shredding truck for operation in and around Dublin.

The proud owner, Chris Skelly, has been running off-site shredding operations for some time and recently decided that an on site shredding service was a logical way to expand his company operations into a growing market. "I first saw the Metro on the AXO stand at the RWM show in Birmingham last year, I was very impressed with the machine and its capabilities so I went away and did some homework on the possibility of using one in Dublin"

The "Metro" employs the same, proven, AXO WM408 shredding machine as operated (on larger 12 ton vehicles) by dozens of shredding firms in Europe and Asia, but is based on a 7.5 ton chassis to allow for greater maneuverability and access, and can be driven without the need for a class 2 HGV license. Chris further commented "It ticked all the boxes, fast shredder, easier access, easier to drive, more maneuverable, and we are very much looking forward to utilising the Metro in the streets of Dublin"

With a payload of 2.2 Ton and shredding capability of over 1000 Kg per hour the WM408 Metro holds many advantages, and the 7.5 ton chassis allows it to enter operation in areas where some trucks may struggle.
