Another AXO on the Continent

Mobile document shredding is spreading further into Eastern Europe, and to meet the demand AXO Shredders have recently commissioned one of their 408 DAF model mobile document shredding trucks for the shredding firm Shred and Cut in Belgrade, Serbia.

The AXO 408 is a popular choice with mobile shredding companies, with a throughput capability of over 1,000kgs of waste office paper per hour and a shredded paper payload of 4,000kgs. Representing approximately 60 of the popular 240 liter sized containers, the full payload is discharged in minutes via a walking floor.

For customers who require more payload and greater throughput, AXO offers the 608 model mounted to an 18 ton Iveco Cab-Chassis. This gives a throughput of waste office paper of up to 2,500kgs per hour and a payload of up to 6,000kgs, making the unit particularly profitable when processing large file purges. Trucks for supply to the Continent are supplied from AXO's UK branch, located in Bedford, UK. From this office factory trained engineers provide installation and backup service for AXO's range of electric drive and mobile document shredding equipment.

With mobile shredding firms enjoying steady revenues in spite of the recession, enquiry for AXO shredding trucks is coming from a range of business service companies who see the additional revenue opportunity of offering a mobile shredding service to their existing customer base.

While mobile shredding is relatively new to Eastern Europe, a long path of growth could be predicted if the penetration of the service is to meet the much higher levels in North America.
